Since 766 B.C., the torch has been ignited at the site of the ancient Summer Games in Olympia, Greece. From March 25th until the start of May, the Torch Relay will travel across Greece, into Beijing, and then around the world through citites, oceans, and even the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest.
